Liberty silver bowl (1899) – purchased for £11,400 by the Friends in 2005 to celebrate their 20th anniversary.
Cabinet on a stand, designed by Ernest Gimson 1902-5 – purchased for £1,200 by the Friends in 2007. Collector’s cabinet veneered in rosewood on to mahogany with cut macassar ebony inlay. Inside are 16 drawers veneered in satinwood with silver handles. The cabinet, except probably the silver handles, was made at Daneway by Gimson’s workforce. The four-square design and the flush surfaces of the front, rich materials and bold inlaid decoration predate Art Deco designs of the 1920s.
